Trane Clean Effects
Trane has announced their 'Clean Effects' filter which removes an astounding 99.98% of allergens that pass through your system. Making it more effective than even the best HEPA filter and 100 times more effective than a standard 1" filter. It is so effective that it traps allergens down to .3 microns, particles so small that 2,000,000 of them could fit on the period at the end of this sentence. That's the size at which allergens can get deep into your lungs because they aren't filtered well by your nose and throat.What's more is that TRANE CleanEffects has been performace verified in tests conducted by Enviromental Health and Engineering, Inc., also reviewed and verified by professors of the Harvard School of Public Health
Lennox PureAir
Lennox 'Pure Air' filter system has combined the air filtration of a Merv 16 media filter that removes 95% of small breathable particles down to .3 microns with UVA lamps and a metal insert that's coated with a catalyst that's activated by ultraviolet (UVA) light.
The Lennox PureAir system attacks all three classes of air contaminants:
Particles - Remove particles down to .3 micron includeing pollen, dust and pet dander.
Bioaerosols and Microorganisms - Removes over 90% of bioaerosols down to .01 micron including
viruses, dust mites, bacteria, mold spores, and fungi.
Odors/Chemical Vapors - Destroys volatile organic compounds (VOC's) including cleaning supplies,
paints, cooking smells and pet odors.
Healthy Climate media filters
Media filters provide excellent whole house filtration with no additional power source. Filters are rated with "MERV" ratings. The higher the Merv rating the more particulate it removes from your air.
Filters are disposable and require replacement annually.
Healthy Climate 10 (MERV10) removes up to 85% of particulates down to 3 micron in size, also 85% of bioaerosols and microorganisms down to 0.3 microns. Media filter does not emit Ozone.
Healthy Climate 16 (Merv 16) removes over 95% of paticulates down to 3 micron in size, also 90% of bioaerosols and microorganisms down to 0.3 micron. Media filter does not emit Ozone
Standard Pleated filter
A poor filter can allow dust and particulates to pass through allowing those particles to collect on your blower motor, heat exchanger and air conditioning coil costing you more in repairs and operating costs. Don't be fooled by cheap filters. We recommend at a minimum a good quality pleated filter.
