Last week we had our annual Company Christmas Party. It’s fun to get reacquainted with the families and express thanks for the many long hours some of our employee put in. It’s also fun to see the kids and how much they’ve grown. In fact, one employee’s little boy I’ve watched grow up through the years, he’s now a delivery driver for us. Others I’ve seen grow up, get married and have kids of their own. We also invite our retired employees. It’s fun to reminisce old times again. We’re very fortunate to have a fantastic Elf that works for us. She helps Santa every year and picks out and wraps a gift for each little boy and girl. Santa usually makes an appearance at our party and calls out each child’s name one by one to come sit on his lap. They discuss what they want for Christmas, get their picture taken, and then he hands them the gift our cute elf has picked out. The kids are always so excited.
While Santa was there the rest of us joined in the Prime Rib buffet line. Great food as always!
As the evening wound down and the children started yawning, the last bits of food were boxed up and we said our goodbyes and Happy Holidays then headed for home.
