ICON system: Bradford White’s ICON system offers numerous energy and time saving benefits to the homeowner. The ICON system sets a new standard in gas water heater control technology. Maintains a more even water temperature than other control valves piezo ignitor with a “pilot on” indicator light. Flame rollout switch can be manually reset.

PLUS Accessory packages can be added to the ICON system.

Performance Package includes the first programmable thermostat for gas water heaters. The thermostat can be programmed for 4 periods a day, turning the water temperature down during times you’re less likely to use hot water. Also included in the Performace package is an integrated mixing device (IMD). The IMD allows water in the tank to be stored at a higher temperature while still providing a comfortable outlet temperature. By blending cold water into the hot water outlet, useable hot water can be increased by as much as 50% or more.

Protection Package: leak detection
Just what the customer ordered. An electronic sensor attaches to the base of the water heater and in the event of a leak it triggers an audible alarm, for further protection an automatic cold water shut-off can be added, so in addition to sounding an audible, the cold water shut-off valve will shut the water supply off to the water heater.
